good tactical combat, really big plus for this! Pen & paper (or microsoft excel) approach is not fun for everybody quest log 's really hard to track everything. you can end same quests in different way including different prizes pretty interesting lore including here and there elements of previous Spellforce games a lot of random quests, so each gameplay is slightly different starting positions are pretty close to each other.like 1st and 2nd, so gameplay is pretty much the same lodges are great, similar to zones in Spellforce 3 starting on the same map from different position is very nice, you can see someone's perspective at start gold/mana management is very tight Once you have "follower" spell you can have endless armies, seems a bit broken it's not overwhelming with thousands of different variables doesn't really matter what magic you will choose as sooner or later you will find other grimoire pages each character starts with same army (few goblins +t2 unit as per magic) why only 3.Spellforce have so much more to offer Artificer, Alchemist, Necromancer very nice! All with different mechanics! Good direction! Some of the items will be repeated across different posts on this forum. So here's my feedback after 1st won game.
